BingePile is built by Emerald Apps. We collect only what the app needs to work, we don't sell your personal data, and you can delete everything at any time. This page explains what that means in plain terms.

Data We Collect

• Account details. When you sign in, we store the information tied to your account (such as your email or the identifier from your sign-in provider) and the profile you create in the app.
• Your library and activity. The shows and movies you track, your watch history and progress, watchlist, ratings, reactions, comments, and who you follow.
• Usage analytics and diagnostics. Anonymized information about how the app is used and crash reports that help us find and fix problems.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the core features of BingePile — syncing your library across your devices, powering your Watch Next queue and calendar, and enabling the social feed and the people you connect with. Analytics and crash reports are used only to keep the app stable and to decide what to improve.

Sharing

Content you choose to make social — comments, reactions, your profile, and activity — is shown to the people you connect with inside the app. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Third-Party Services

BingePile relies on trusted third-party providers to operate:

• Cloud infrastructure and authentication (Google Firebase) store your account and library data and handle sign-in.
• Catalog data and artwork come from third-party entertainment databases. We do not host or stream any video content.
• Analytics and crash reporting providers process anonymized diagnostics on our behalf.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to run the service.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app, which permanently removes your data from our systems. You can also email us to request deletion.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with our infrastructure providers' security protections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children's Privacy

BingePile is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page.
